What on Earth... Is around the corner?

Year 6 have spent Science Day tackling this task: Is it possible to design a piece of equipment for a spy to see around corners?

To begin with, the children considered what they know about how light travels and reflects. They then designed and made a piece of equipment, using a range of materials, including mirrors.

After break, they tested their periscopes, made any necessary modifications to improve their finished pieces. Then Year 6 communicated the scientific process to other children from around the school.

All the children made something unique and learned something new. They also enjoyed hearing about how the other year groups spent Science Day.
