Family Fun Day - Was it fun ?

A resounding YES!

Belle Vue and Newport pupils came together with their parents, grandparents and younger siblings for an afternoon of fun packed activities, ranging from pottery to Bollywood Dance.
Every inch of the school was a hive of activity with happy faces, laughter and a lot of mess - who can resist getting messy!

The funding for the afternoon came from the BIG LOTTERY fund via Hampshire County Council to encourage family learning and from the response so far, parents and children enjoyed learning together.

A big thank you to all parents, grandparents and of course, the children for making the afternoon a great success!

This half term our topic is 'That's the way to do it!' We are learning all about puppets. We'll be making our own puppets and putting on a show.

To start of off we have a puppetter in to do a puppet show and he talked to us about the different types of puppets that there are and how to produce a good show.
