Newport A (year 6) and B (year 5) teams played in the annual 5 a side NEHSSP football tournament at the Aldershot Garrison.
This is a tournament for players who don't regularly play for their school first team but are keen footballers.
There was a strong entry from the region with girls playing for the very first time in two mini leagues.
Both teams played very well with Newport A winning 1, drawing 1 and losing the other 3 narrowly, whilst Newport B fared slightly better with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat.
Both teams were delighted to have entered and had a thoroughly great time.
By the final game, both teams were absolutely shattered.
