A group of Year 4 mathematicians had a busy morning trying to help Gerald the Giant get all the details he needed to fill in a passport application for a skiing holiday on Mount Everest. A tough task when all you had to work with was a rather large footprint!

Working in teams with other pupils from all over Aldershot, the Newport boys were able to successfully complete the task of calculating the giant's height. It was a fun filled event with lots of opportunities to use a range of maths skills, as well as making lots of new friends.
