Year 6 River Dances
Today, year 6 put on a fabulous show based on their topic 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat'. 6S danced the water cycle while 6C explained the stages. Afterwards the children showed off their river dances, where they were looking at the different stages of a river. These were the upper, middle and lower course. Mrs Shuttleworth and Miss Cooke were really proud of all of the children. A big thank you to all of the parents who came to watch.

England game postponed and St Peter's tomorrow postponed - waterlogged pitch
It's just typical.
You get one football update and then another comes along within hours!
This message will hopefully have reached everyone concerned but the pitch is waterlogged in one of the goal areas and the Headteacher decided to follow the groundsman's advice.
Just think, England had the same problem as us this week!
The game has been rescheduled for a Monday November 19th.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Boys' Football Update
There will be no football training next week on 24th October due to Parents' Evening.
Secondly, there will be no football training on Wednesday, 7th November, the first week back after half term break.
There will be a re-arrnged league game against St Michael's on Friday 9th November.
Results so far this season are a loss to Velmead 1-4 in the Hampshire Cup but a hard earned victory by 2-1 against Cove where Jack K pulled off am outstanding save to help us earn our first league victory of the season.
We also hope to play a Standing Cup fixture at some stage this autumn but await the preliminary round result between Cove and All Saints.

Year 4 are being the best they can be!
On Monday, we were very lucky to have Talan Skeels-Piggins come into our school to launch our brand new 'Be the Best' programme. He told us lots about how he has managed to achieve his goal despite several challenges. We enjoyed listening to his stories and were able to ask lots of questions which he was very happy to answer!
The day continued to inspire us, particularly when the Olympic torch came to visit us in our classrooms! We were even able to have our photograph taken whilst holding the torch (check out Wizkid for the photos!)
A big thank-you to Talan Skeel Piggins for sharing our day with us.
Well done year 4 for a very successful day!
Year 5 Reptile Encounters Visit!
Year 5 had a very exciting morning last Wednesday with a visit from the Berkshire Reptile Rescue Centre.
All year five children had the opportunity to hold a Bearded Lizard as well as a Boa Constrictor. I think the teachers were more scared than the children! Have a look at our photos to see what we got up to while the reptiles were in.

Year 3's Perfect Pizza Day
Year Three Pizza Day
As you know, year three have been learning all about healthy eating and what makes a balanced meal.
Before we got to make our pizzas we had to plan what toppings we were going to use. We had to make it was balanced by using ingredients from all of the 5 food groups. Then on Thursday we made our pizzas. It was fun because we got to taste our pizzas and they were really tasty. On my pizza i had cheese, chicken, pineapple, tomato and sweetcorn.
In the afternoon some of our parents came and tasted our pizzas and had a look at our work.
It was a terrific day!
