Last Friday, Year 6 went on a trip to Selbourne to study the river as part of our 'Everlasting Energy' topic. In the morning, we went to the river where we carried out experiments to find the depth and flow of the river at different sections. Although it was muddy, we loved exploring the different creatures that live in the water and riverbank. Luckily, we didn't get too wet!

After lunch, we walked up to the hanger where we created our own rivers out of sticks and leaves to learn about the different sections of the river.

It was a great trip and we can't wait to learn more about our topic back in the classroom!
