Alderwood's cricketers put in a spectacular performance!
Today, 60 children from years 4, 5 and 6 attended the annual cricket festival at Aldershot Cricket Club. Competing against a range of other schools, Alderwood's children showed themselves to be fantastic sportsmen and women and showcased the cricket skills they had learnt in PE lessons this year.
All teams played well throughout the tournament and we had many wins under our belts. A special well done should go to our Year 5 B Team, who managed to come runners up in the year 5 competition!
While we may not have won any trophies, the children should be very proud of their performances. Often I would hear our teams cheering on, not only their players but their opposing team. Excellent sportsmanship was seen by all the children from our school.
Well done to all the children who took part.
