Runways End

The first day started with much excitement as the children found out their groups and rooms. We then headed to our rooms for our first task of the day...the hardest challenge for some....bed making!

After this we begun the outdoor activities which included 3 of the following activities:
  • problem solvinh
  • kayaking
  • rock climbing
  • caving
  • orienteering
  • archery

In the evening, we gathered around the campfire and sung songs, ate marshmallows and had lots of fun.

The following day, we awoke to a lovely breakfast of cereal and toast and completed the remaining activities. Exhausted, we headed home with some wonderful memories to share with our friends and family.

Multi Skill Stars

Taking Over the Senior School Sports Hall

Earlier this afternoon, members of year 3 and 4 travelled to the senior school to take part in a variety of sporting activities. Led by the senior school PE leaders, the children spent the session trying out sports like badminton, basketball and, of course, football (in preparation for the England game!). All children who took part gave 100% effort, even in the hot sports hall; it was great to see the children getting stuck into all the activities.

At the end of the session, all children were awarded with a certificate and medal for taking part with enthusiasim and for being the best that they could be. Thank you to all the parents and family members who attended and encouraged the children throughout.

Although this is the last sporting event of this year, I am looking forward to next year and seeing the children try their best in all the sporting competitions we participate in.
