That's The Way To Do It!
On Thursday afternoon, Year 3 met a puppeteer who has been performing Punch and Judy shows for nearly 50 years! He taught the children a lot about the different types of puppets, including marionette, shadow, hand and finger puppets. We also learnt about the history of Punch and Judy and why it was invented. Did you know that the show has been around for over 350 years and originated in Italy where Mr Punch was originally called Punchinello? The children thoroughly enjoyed the show and we are now really looking forward to making our own and putting on our own show!
