The recent storms that have battered the country this week have given Year 5 an insight into the opening scene of the Tempest. They have been studying William Shakespeare’s last play, The Tempest, as part of a Tudor literacy workshop. The pupils were also taken to see a musical version of this comic play by the Shakespeare4 kids company at Camberley theatre. It was a brilliant performance from the young actors in the company who really bought the play to life. Trinculo’s comic timing and Ariel’s gracefulness made them favourites with the Newport pupils.
