Prince of Wales Visit
Last Friday, the Prince of Wales, our link school, and Year 2 children from Belle Vue visited Newport for the day. Despite their long and tiring journey from Dorchester, all children from Years 1 to 4 were in high spirits when they arrived. We began the morning with an assembly where Mrs Thorpe (the Deputy Head from Prince of Wales) showed us pictures of their school. They also showed us a song that they had learnt when they took part in a similar event to our 'Day for Change', which was fantastic! We even learnt the song in 15 minutes showing off our beautiful voices. After a delicious lunch and getting to know each other, Miss Cooke and Miss Price discussed identity and British Values. We created a coat of arms using tissue paper to represent all three schools. This will be displayed in the reception area of Newport to show our fantastic links. Here are some pictures to show what a fantastic day we had. We are looking forward to visiting Prince of Wales next year!
