Think Safe Event

Year 6 Learn How to be Safe in the Community

Even though it was a rather wet and rainy day, year 6 spent the morning at the annual Think Safe Event. Here, they took part in 7 different events where they learnt how to be safe in the community.

The activities tested their current knowledge and reactions, as well as informing them of what they should do in different situations. The activities included sessions with the police, the military police, south western railway and the fire brigade. The children should be coming home tonight and checking your smoke detectors work in your homes! Although some children did get try on handcuffs while we were then, we can inform you that all children were returned to school safely.
