Roman Day
Today year three was taken back into the days of Ancient Rome as the children took part in the final part of our current topic 'I came, I saw, I conquered...'Throughout the day, the children took part in a number of activities including the designing of Roman shields, mosaics and eating a selection of Ancient Roman foods. The children all looked fantastic in their Roman costumes and I know they all thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The day was rounded off with a fashion show where the children paraded for parents in their costumes and shields. We also witnessed a battle between gladiators as after dinner entertainment - congratulations to the winner Aidan in 3L.
Finally, a massive thank you to all of the parents who came to watch this afternoon's fashion show, which we hoped you enjoyed, and to Miss Johnstone for her fantastic support throughout the day in 3B.
