Medals, medals, medals!
After school today, seven members of Newport Junior School attend a cross country race at Connaught with spectacular results!
All children who attended, paced themselves well and did the school proud as they all tried their best throughout. Running on a muddy field, all the children started well and moved up positions throughout the race, cheered on by the rest of the children from our school and the parents.
A special well done should go to Maisy Knight who finished second in the girls race and Arthur Cooper who finished third in the boys race, after a close battle for second. Well done to all the children who took part, I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and are prepared for the festival of running next week!
