Campfire Stories

We were delighted to welcome Year 4 back, after their lovely summer holiday, and to hear all the activities they took part in.

We began the new term with a new reading approach to engage the children - stories around the campfire. A campfire was recreated in each of the classrooms (not a real one - so you can try this at home).

In true campfire spirit we read the scary Russian folktale Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave, which is the text we will be studying this half term. I'm sure that the children would love to tell you this story , if you haven't heard it before!
