Rushmoor & Hart Primary Schools Sport Awards
Tonight I had the pleasure of attending this years Sports Awards with two of our shortlisted nominees, Holly Turner (Determination and Courage) and Joseph Lucking (Exceptional Sportsperson of the Year. Jaydon Thompson was also shortlisted for the fair play award but was unfortunately unable to attend tonight's events.
It was an evening full of celebration with dance performances and a special guest, Charles Cousins (Team GB Rower, 2012 Olympics). Even though our nominees did not win their categories, being shortlisted to the final five out of a possible 9,000 children across Hart and Rushmoor Schools is a massive achievement for them. I know that myself and all the staff at Newport are extremely proud of them for the hard work and dedication they have shown this year. They have been an inspiration to us all and we look forward to seeing and hearing what they achieve in the future.
