Year 5 and 6 Hockey Tournament

Once again, Newport has a mostly brand, new hockey team. For those children who have come to training sessions previously, they have become really independent, taking charge in helping those children who have never played hockey before which has been lovely to see. For the first time, we were all wearing the new kit. Everyone looked extremely smart! Another first was a new pitch due to Farnham and Aldershot Hockey Club being busy which meant we were playing on a slower astro turf. Although some of the rules were new to the team, they soon got the hang of them and played extremely well as a team. Unfortunately, we did lose all of our matches but we hope to come back fighting during our next tournament in March.
