Sports Week Day 4

The Finish Line is in Sight!

Today saw the turn of the year 6 classes taking on their class teachers at the penalty shoot out! Let's just say that it got very competitive and all children are looking forward to finding out who is the winning class in tomorrow's closing ceremony.

As the class pentathlons continued, the year 4's held their dance day in the hall. Learning some dance moves inspired by Olympic events and the film Rio. While the year 5's continued their round robin of sporting activities taking part in either running, badminton or baseball. A special mention should go to Jonathon from 5W who hit a spectacular home run! Later this afternoon the year three children took to the playground, taking part in a range of sporting activities including rounders and cricket.

Inside the classroom the children continued to learn about different Olympic countries and have started to put together class information books about their chosen teams. In maths lessons children used their knowledge of shapes and symmetry to create their own Olympic flag for the Rio Olympic Committee.

Make sure you check the blog tomorrow after our closing ceremony to find out which class won the penalty shoot out and which class managed to travel the furthest to Rio!
