Chalking it Up!

Good morning!

I hope you are all well.

Today’s blog is an outside activity so make sure you stick to social distancing restrictions!

Now, I know a lot of you are very creative and good at art so why not take some chalk and get drawing on your driveways or on the pavements outside your house. There are lots of ideas out there of what you could draw starting with a simple picture to make someone smile or a thank you message to our NHS and key workers.

You can also create your own game boards outside on the path with chalk like Snakes and Ladders, Checkers or Twister.

However, my personal favourite is a sidewalk obstacle course like the ones below. Design your own obstacle course on the pavement with chalk outside your house, have a go yourself and then head back inside your house and watch from your window to see if any passers-by have a go and take on your challenge!

If you do not have any chalk, don’t worry there are plenty of recipes online on how you can make your own. Here are just a couple of examples below.

Have fun with this one; I am going to create an obstacle course right down the middle of my close! We have a lot of dog walkers come down our road to get to the woods so I wonder if any of them can train their dogs to complete the course!

Until tomorrow,

Miss Parker
